What is the Power Hour?

James & sean

James (JT) and Sean are two life long wrestling fans who just want some way to share their thoughts and opinions with the world, because wrestling is only as fun as the people you share it with. Both have watched wrestling from childhood and look to constantly expand their horizons and get a better understanding for the wrestling world and the many different figures living in it. James is a recent college graduate living in the United States (Long Island specifically), who specializes in diligent note taking so readers know what happened and when in a match or promo. Sean is a current college student who helps add sharp commentary and wit to James match breakdowns. He is also a master of wrestling trivia.

Why this format, and inspirations

Having previously spent a lot of time on the wrestling blogging app Wrestling Amino, James and Sean wanted to find a way to reach new audiences for their works. On the app, the two became accustomed to blogging, as such the Power Hour (title inspired by the Fairly Oddparents/Jimmy Neutron crossover of the 00s) was born. Though the Power Hour is only text and gifs, James and Sean hope to emulate the styles of the OSW Review and the Attitude Era Podcast. Like the two, they run through a series of wrestling events show by show, with a hope of looking at the nitty gritty of a generalized time period in wrestling. Like OSW & the AE Pod, they try to bounce off each other to create a diverse understanding of the show as well as bring some humor to the show they’re reviewing. Sean and James cannot emphasize enough how much those two projects inspired them, and that this project wouldn’t exist without them.
